Job Overview

Responsible for driving sales growth of Komatsu crushing products to surface mining, underground mining and construction customers across Northern, Central and Southern America. The position will maintain close coordination with surface regions, underground regions and dealers, ensuring alignment with regional strategies and customer engagement practices, while reporting through the Global Crushing team.

This role contributes to Komatsu’s success by building and maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and promoting Komatsu’s crushing solutions as the preferred choice for mining and construction applications. Working in close partnership with the Komatsu Surface, Underground Mining regions, the National-Regional-Global Accounts Management team and Komatsu distribution network. This position ensures integrated support for customers, enabling long-term growth and reinforcing Komatsu’s market presence in the Americas. 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Increase sales of Komatsu Crushing products in coordination and collaboration with the surface mining, underground mining and construction industry through regions, dealers and customers across Northern, Central and Southern America.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key accounts, ensuring Komatsu is viewed as a trusted partner delivering optimum solutions in terms of quality, reliability, operating cost, support, and performance.
  • Execute the Crushing Route to Market strategy in close coordination with the Business Development Team, Komatsu regions and dealers, driving opportunities for original equipment, and coordinating rebuilds, audits, parts and major components sales with the product support department
  • Work collaboratively with the Komatsu Mining Surface, Komatsu Underground and Construction Equipment divisions to provide integrated customer solutions, adding value to our customers and ensuring seamless support across sales, product, and aftermarket services.
  • Identify, pursue and report on all new business opportunities, leveraging knowledge of regional market conductions to expand Komatsu’s customer base.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting and reporting through Komatsu systems, including active participation in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Support product support initiatives by working closely with service and parts teams to drive aftermarket sales, reduce customers downtime and enhance total cost of ownership valve.
  • Deliver consistent, reliable performance to plan, including bookings, billings, expenses, and profit metrics, while adhering to Komatsu governance, compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Represent Komatsu’s crushing business in the America’s, acting as the key interface between regions and customers. The global crushing team, and the internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of strategy.Schedule and lead Regional Surface, Underground and Dealer regional monthly calls, to review OE, RB and Aftermarket opportunities to improve financial and operational forecasting.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mining Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. Ongoing College Business Degree for consideration.
  •  Additional business qualification (MBA or Diploma in Sales/Marketing) will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3–10 years of experience in sales or business development and/or product support within the crushing, screening, or heavy construction/mining equipment industry. Komatsu Dealer Experience a plus.
  • Proven track record in capital equipment sales with cement, aggregates, or surface construction customers in the US and LATAM.
  • Strong understanding of product support and aftermarket parts sales, including how service and parts contribute to customer value and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with cement plants, quarry operators and EPC contractors.
  • Skilled in account management, commercial negotiations, and contract execution in a complex B2B environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and ability to provide accurate sales reporting and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish (other regional languages desirable).
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Americas (North, Central and South regions) to meet customers and support business development (60% regional travel).
