Job Overview
Preferred candidate be located in Australia, preferably Brisbane as this role will be traveling extensively in Australasia and south Africa.
- Create and Maintain Strategic Product Plan for non-OE aftermarket electric mining shovels and drills, producing a master product plan to be incorporated into the company’s strategic plan.
- Oversee non-OE aftermarket shovel and drill products, managing the pricing, configurations and technical product support.
- Drive New Product Development for non-OE aftermarket shovel and drill products, with heavy participation in the programs and ownership of the initiation and definition of new aftermarket products. Work with the development team to establish functional / technical specifications, business case justifications, product validation, and product documentation including case studies, customer presentations, technical and marketing literature.
- Support Sales of non-OE aftermarket shovel and drill products through technical and commercial support of tenders and presentations to customers. Work cross functionally to ensure appropriate product cost points, inventory levels, lead times and supply agreements are in place for successful growth.
- Guide Product Marketing Activity for non-OE aftermarket shovel and drill products, including product positioning, product roadmaps, launches, presentations, competitive comparisons and sales training.
- Understand and Communicate Market Dynamics for non-OE aftermarket shovel and drill products through market research and relationships with customers, third parties and Region sales & service personnel.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field is required.
- 5-10 years of experience in product management, product development, or product marketing is required.
- Direct industry experience with Surface Mining Products is desired.
- Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills with an ability to demonstrate confidence in material knowledge.
- Technical aptitude and experience with market analysis, strategic planning, and equipment sales is desired
