Job Purpose

The Electronic Trades Worker is responsible for ensuring the integrity, functionality, and compliance of assembled products and components during all stages of the manufacturing process. This role involves conducting inspections, performing tests, assembling devices, and collaborating with engineering, quality and production teams to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on products and components to ensure compliance with specifications at all stages of manufacturing, including but not limited to inbound material inspections, in-progress inspections and finished material inspections.
  • Perform functional, dimensional, and visual inspections using precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, Hi-pot tester, Multimeter). 
  • Document defects, deviations, and non-conformances; collaborate with production to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality reports.
  • Assist in developing and updating quality control and assembly procedures.
  • Assemble electronic and mechanical components according to schematics and SOPs.
  • Perform soldering and wiring of circuits and assemblies.
  • Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and functionality of assembled parts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and manufacturing protocols.
  • Assisting with maintenance and accuracy of master bill of materials. 
  • Perform equipment validation to align with company standards and to meet ISO compliance.
  • Assisting with the control and disposition from internal quality process and engineering change orders. 
     

Required Skills

  • Certificate III in Electronics, or related technical field is required. Highly advantageous an engineering degree. 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in factory acceptance testing and calibration of sensors.
  • Proficiency in soldering and assembling electronic components.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and technical software.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified. 
  • ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 Certificate or equivalent.
