Job Purpose

The Mining Services Specialist II executes performance assurance and consulting activities, including but not limited to technology applications data analysis, mining processes assessments, discussions with customers, solutions design, best practice recommendation, report preparation and presentation, assisted operations, project management among other related activities, reporting to any Supervisor. 

Travel Requirements

Require domestic and international travel based on project or customer needs.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Mining Services – Performance Assurance

  • Assist Supervisor in creating high level and detailed site visit plans based on the “voice of customer”.
  • Perform data analysis and technical assessment to keep applications properly used to add value for the customer.
  • Assess current application support tickets before and during site visits and facilitate resolution as possible.
  • Prepare Performance Assurance Report and present it to the customer.
  • Provide the Supervisor and Customers with site visit for creating action items and reports.
  • Perform assisted operations to ensure application is properly used.
     
     
    Mining Services – Consulting
  • Assist Supervisor in creating high level and detailed consulting services plans based on the contracted scope of work.
  • Perform data analysis and technical assessment to discuss with customers and propose mine operations changes and technology application to solve issues adding value.
  • Deploy technology application including project plan, management, assisted operation and final report presentation.
  • Supporting the Technical Proposal Process

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Modular products and Mining Operations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Degree in Engineering, Mining, Production, related, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in mining operations including fleet management, fleet maintenance, mine planning, other.
  • Knowledge in data analysis tools like SQL, Power BI, Tableau and related software tools
  • Portuguese and English language speaking
     

Desired Skills

  • Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, ACMP)
  • Analytics Certifications (Power BI, Google Analytics, Data Analytics, SQL/Python certifications)
  • Understanding of mining operations and production KPIs
