Job Purpose

As a Senior Hardware Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting and coordinating hardware repair and deployment activities across MTS Indonesia operations. This position is integral to maintaining the functionality of our systems, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service and system uptime.

Travel Requirements

This position may require occasional travel to customer mine sites within Indonesia for hardware system installations, maintenance, and support. Travel will be planned in conjunction with project requirements and may involve overnight stays. You may also attend training sessions or workshops as necessary to enhance your skills and provide better service to our clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Hardware Technician, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading hardware system installations at customer mine sites, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and to specifications.
  • Overseeing Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) processes at the RMA workshop, including the handling of shipments and repairs.
  • Collaborating closely with the hardware supervisor to plan and execute installation and repair projects.
  • Providing hands-on guidance and support to technicians during installation and repair activities.
  • Conducting quality checks on all hardware repairs to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations.
  • Documenting all processes, installations, and repairs meticulously to maintain accurate records for future reference.
  • Staying updated on the latest hardware technologies and trends to continuously improve operational efficiencies and outcomes.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, the following skills are required:

  • Strong understanding of hardware systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proven experience in leading technical projects, especially in hardware installations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to various audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
  • Solid project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges on the field.

Desired Skills

While not mandatory, the following desired skills will be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of mining operations and environmental considerations related to hardware usage.
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and software relevant to hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations pertinent to mining and heavy industry environments.
