Job Purpose

The Country Manager will be responsible for guiding and overseeing the daily operations of PT Modular Mining Systems Indonesia to ensure alignment with Modular Mining Systems Inc's global strategic objectives. This role requires effective leadership and management to drive business performance, uphold company standards, and foster an operational environment focused on growth and sustainability within the Mining Technology Solutions division.

Travel Requirements

The position involves travel commitments of up to 15% of the time. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Modular’s Indonesian entity, ensuring efficiency and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business unit strategies that support growth objectives, regularly reviewing and adjusting plans to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships across the Mining Technology Solutions business units, ensuring seamless coordination and support to maximise operational success.
  • Provide strategic assistance and advisory support to the General Manager Australasia on key corporate matters and entity-specific issues.
  • Maintain consistent communication with senior leadership, particularly the GM Australasia, to keep them updated on operational progress, risks, and critical developments.
  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to drive goal achievement, promote innovation, and encourage knowledge sharing throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant legislation, company policies, and customer requirements to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
  • Champion a culture of safety by promoting awareness, accountability, and proactive measures to achieve the company’s target of zero workplace accidents.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the GM Australasia, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to organisational priorities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, Management, or a related discipline, demonstrating a solid educational foundation relevant to the industry.
  • Proven, extensive experience in senior management roles, ideally within the mining sector or related technology fields, showcasing leadership abilities and strategic acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining operations, including practical understanding of how mining software solutions integrate and enhance operational processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate operational data and make informed decisions that drive business improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure business compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • Capacity to foster a safety-first mindset, embedding safe work practices into all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with advanced mining technology platforms and emerging industry trends is desirable. 
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in project management or business administration would further strengthen a candidate’s suitability for this role.
