Reports to: Service Manager, Hard Rock Distribution
Shift: 5x2, Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: Up to 25%
Relocation: This role is not eligible for relocation

Key Job Responsibilities

 

As an Apprentice HET, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to:

  • Assist with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of Komatsu and other heavy equipment
  • Learn to service hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Support scheduled maintenance and component rebuilds in a controlled shop setting and support field service requirements as assigned
  • Use tools and diagnostic software to identify issues and perform repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Enrollment in a recognized Heavy Equipment Technician apprenticeship program- 421A required
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work safely and follow procedures- commitment to safety in all settings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License
