Job Overview

  •  
  • Prepare and oversee the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and current estimates for the US  (NAPP, CAPP, ILB, and West regions).  Details include P&L, Balance Sheet, OE, Parts, Components, Rebuilds, and Other Service Bookings as well as associated sales detail, headcount, and hours.  Will be involved in setting and approving plant labor and overhead rates.  Will complete analysis which will include but not limited to future customer production, commodity pricing, fleet installed base, competition, and bridges.
  • Serve as the performance leader for 4 regional controllers and 1 plant controller representing a team of 18 covering the USA.  Functions will include: setting and providing direction on reporting within GAAP, SAP processes and procedures, service order reviews, process improvements (Operational Excellence), timely completion of regional/operational/corporate deadline tasks, overseeing key financial controls and ensuring compliance along with annual audit support and other ad hoc items
  • Responsible for all financial reporting for the AMNO Soft Rock and Crushing products  (including all 4 sales offices/sub-regions, 5 service centers and 8 warehouses including the Global Distribution Center).  Financial reporting will largely be monthly based with some reporting more frequently.  Items include: monthly performance report outs vs forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Bookings, etc), cost center reporting, completion of Management reporting package, participation in monthly controller’s calls, operations reporting, ad hoc requests 
  • Assist the V.P. Sales and Service Softrock/Amon , Site Managers, Financial Director, Director of Ops and other relevant staff with strategic planning (including the completion of 5 year strategic outlook) as well as driving performance within applicable regions and service centers (metrics, leading indicators, etc)
  • Provide financial guidance and oversight of the SR crushing business.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, consolidate, and review P&L data from applicable North America regions to determine variances from Budget/Forecast/Prior Year. Coordinate with regions on bridge analysis to explain variances.  Be involved in setting direction to improve performance and making tough decisions
  • Review cost center data trends and comparisons to budget and communicate issues to regional management teams.  Provide recommendations to regions to adjust as necessary.
  • Ensure that the applicable North American regions are meeting reporting requirements consistently, accurately and on time. This includes all month end, quarter end and yearend financial results.
  • Coordinate monthly Americas North financial reporting as well as quarterly outlook reviews for the plants and regions.  Support Director of operations with financial support and reports.  Support Crushing organization with reporting and support.    Support VP, Sales and Service with reporting and support.
  • Extract and review data from SAP to analyze margin performance, WIP service orders, warranty, detailed spending.  Identify issues and provide recommendations for resolving or mitigating issues.
  • Lead/assist in various Inventory and service level initiatives and continuous improvement of operational KPI’s to help drive actions within our service centers to improve performance.
  • Develop regional accounting staff – growth opportunities, training, next position placement, etc
  • Create reporting structures, graphs, and diagrams for presentations, reports and documentation.
  • Utilize SalesForce data to analyze future OE and service opportunities and tie that analysis into the Americas North financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial leadership and training on the new Komatsu SVM financial reporting system and structure.  Provide reporting for Americas North and training/support to regional accounting personnel.
  • Troubleshoot SAP system issues and support applicable service centers with questions regarding many areas within SAP.  Direct users on setting up unusual transactions/orders.
  • Assist internal and external auditors with financial and Sarbanes Oxley audits.  Answer questions, review processes and gather required data for auditors.  Drive improvements and standardization when needed.
     

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.  MBA and Accounting Certification a plus (CPA/CMA)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial/accounting function is required.
  • SAP and Business Warehouse experience is a plus.  
  • Experience in a manufacturing or service organization
  • Experience leading larger team organizations

Hiring Range
