Job Overview
Drive sales growth and ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of Ground Engagement Tools (GET) and attachments. This role combines direct sales, dealer management, technical program oversight, and sales support to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance.
Key Job Responsibilities
Sales & Dealer Management
• Increase sales volume for construction, mining, and attachments product lines through existing and new Komatsu dealers and customers.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, including weekly itineraries and call reports.
• Identify and capitalize on all sales opportunities, including end-user visits, new projects, and product conversions.
• Set sales targets for dealer partners, drive growth by performing trainings, and establishing joint working plans.
• Motivate, train, and support dealer personnel on product applications, policies, pricing, and value-added services.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, conventions, trade shows, and dealer training.
• Collect and report competitive intelligence on products, pricing, and market dynamics.
• Prepare quotes as necessary, assist with order processing, and coordinate with Hensley customer service team to resolve customer issues.
• Monitor and report on sales pipeline, customer inquiries, and order status.
• Liaise with Hensley customer support to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
Program & Product Management
• Collaborate with Hensley engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to attachments and GET systems.
• Track installation performance statistics and conduct root cause analysis for product issues.
• Lead product support initiatives, including coordination with Service Engineer to perform warranty and reliability analysis, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams for product problem resolution and reliability enhancement.
• Aid Hensley in new product development and testing, including communicating field feedback and facilitating trials.
• Accompany dealer representatives by conducting periodic inspections at key customer sites, document findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Advise customers on best practices to maximize component life and product performance.
Customer Engagement & Support
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer feedback, technical support, and warranty claims.
• Provide on-site training to customers and dealers on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and deliver monthly reports and presentations on product performance, corrective actions, and improvements.
• Support Sales Manager with forecasting and business planning.
• Ensure continuity of support for GET products across the region.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communication, or related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in mining and construction markets.
- 5+ years of experience with GET products preferred.
- Strong technical acumen, including the ability to conduct inspections and analyze data.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in training, coaching, and developing team members.
- Willingness to travel (estimated 50%) within the Midwest region and occasionally to company headquarters.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks (lifting, climbing, kneeling, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
