Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with assigned mining clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Understand clients’ mining operations, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored solutions and maximize value.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services relevant to the mining industry to existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and product development, to address client needs and deliver on commitments specific to the mining sector.
- Communicate effectively with mining clients to provide updates on projects, resolve issues related to equipment, supplies, or services, and gather feedback on performance.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations to mining clients, highlighting key metrics such as production efficiency, cost savings, and safety improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the mining sector to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Manage contract negotiations and renewals with mining clients, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Track and analyze key account metrics specific to the mining industry, such as uptime, equipment reliability, and environmental compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to mining clients, striving to exceed their expectations and maintain long-term partnerships.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, mining engineering, or a related field
- 5 years experience within the mining industry, with most recent experiences being in a field/shop/services role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Preferred Qualification:
- 5 years experience in account management or sales within the mining industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Additional Information
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with mining clients and internal teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment typical of the mining sector.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing challenges specific to mining operations.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and safety regulations.
- Experience with mining software and technologies is a plus.
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
