Job Purpose

This role provides technical support for AHS (Autonomous Haulage System) software and related components, ensuring high-quality and timely service.

The position includes on-site and Help Desk support, system maintenance, resource optimization, cost control, and compliance with quality, safety, and technical standards.

Travel Requirements

Availability for frequent travel to mine sites, including short- and long-term assignments, as required by customer and project needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support for AHS and FrontRunner systems
  • Support customers through the ticket portal, following defined support processes
  • Open support tickets when issues require investigation, escalation, or more than 15 minutes to resolve
  • Ensure all ticket information is completed accurately and clearly
  • Connect remotely to customer systems to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues
  • Restore system functionality within agreed SLA timeframes

On-Site Support

  • Provide on-site support before, during, and after new mine implementations
  • Support system setup, including servers, network infrastructure, and software
  • Deliver professional services in line with contract requirements

Project and Process Support

  • Follow basic project management practices (scope, communication, reporting, deliverables)
  • Ensure compliance with MMS/Komatsu policies, safety standards, and legal requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify system issues, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Document bugs, enhancements, and best practices
  • Create and maintain reports, manuals, presentations, and process documents
  • Share knowledge using SharePoint as the single source of information
  • Escalate unexpected system behavior and collaborate with higher support levels

Reporting and Communication

  • Provide operational reports (availability, cycle times, warnings, exceptions)
  • Follow defined communication flows between MMS, Komatsu, and customers

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in customer technical support
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL databases
  • Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction
  • Basic understanding of mining operations and computer networks
  • Advanced English level

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in mining operations
  • Experience with Dispatch® or other fleet management systems
  • Knowledge of radio communication and Wi‑Fi networks (2.4 GHz)
  • Experience with virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware)
  • Programming skills in Java or another high-level language
