Job Specification (not totally inclusive)
- Providing decisive leadership and strategic direction for the comprehensive management of Human Resources policies and programs across KMT;
- Spearheading the development and execution of innovative strategies that drive business growth, elevate employee engagement and retention, ensure exceptional safety and wellness standards, and strengthen management-employee relations;
- Critically evaluating and refining Human Resources policies to address shortcomings, align with regulatory standards, and meet organizational needs;
- Ensuring absolute compliance with employment laws and regulations while proactively mitigating legal and reputational risks for the company;
- Crafting and implementing forward-thinking strategies to attract top-tier talent and embed the organization's core values within every aspect of the employee lifecycle;
- Collaborating with executive leadership and employees to cultivate a robust, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent;
- Championing employment equity, fairness, and transparency through the organization;
- Driving the creation of transformative training and development frameworks to meet immediate and future skill demands, positioning the organization as a leader in talent development; and
- Overseeing dynamic performance management and skills development initiatives that align with and propel operational excellence and strategic transformation goals.
Minimum Skills required.
- A Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required;
- Studies in Business Administration or equivalent would be an added advantage;
- A minimum of 15 years’ Human Resources experience is required, with at least 8 of those years in a senior management position within a manufacturing, engineering, or mining environment;
- Proven experience in developing and executing change management plans aligned with business objectives;
- Good working knowledge of labour laws regulations and HR practices;
- Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the company;
- Must have good understanding and working knowledge of BBBEE and Mining Charter;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
