Costing Accountant - Contractor

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Analysis of the jobs for closure-(WIP) and attending Manufacturing WIP meetings;
• Address WIP challenges and report back to Business Unit managers on WIP status;
• Analysis of jobs for sales results;
• Reporting weekly income statement estimate to the USA;
•  Preparing month-end finance pack to distribute to the business;
•  Analysis and of monthly sales margins, and investigation of deviations from the norm;
• Preparation of quarterly accounting packs for submission to US Corporate Accounting department;
• Preparation of outlook and budget files (sales and costs) and upload into SAP;
• Preparation and reviewing of general ledger account reconciliations;
• Participate in WIP stock count when required;
• Preparing and circulating sales update when required; and
• Month end recon preparation.

Minimum Skills required.

• Must have completed a B Com Hons degree in Accounting or Finance/PGDIP qualification.
• CGMA qualification would be an advantage;
• At least 4 – 5  years post qualification experience in a similar role;
• SAP/R3 experience is required.
• Computer literate in MS office suit (Advanced Excel); and
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
