IT Level I Support Intern

Job Purpose

As an IT Level 1 Support Intern, you will be the first point of contact for technical support within the organization. You will assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic IT issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in IT support and an opportunity to develop technical and customer service skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve basic technical issues via phone, email, collaboration software or in-person.
• Assist with password resets, software installations, and basic troubleshooting.
• Document and track support tickets using the company's ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Assist in setting up and configuring hardware, such as laptops, desktops, and printers.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical knowledge.

Required Skills

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and macOS.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and IT support workflows is a plus.
