The role of Procurement Governance and Analytics Specialist is essential to this strategy, focusing on the procurement function within our Australian Supply team. It involves utilising data and analytics to drive best practice procurement management.

 

This position can be based at either Rutherford or Moss Vale, NSW.

 

The role

Reporting directly to the National Procurement Manager, this independent and pivotal position within the Australian Supply Chain team is responsible for enhancing procurement processes through the implementation of governance frameworks and the application of advanced analytics.

 

It's tasked with optimising procurement activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, and utilising data-driven insights to improve decision-making.

 

This role focuses on implementing governance measures and using analytical tools to improve efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and support strategic procurement initiatives.

 

This position is crucial in developing procurement strategies, promoting transparency, and ensuring continuous improvement within the procurement function.

 

Key elements

  • Ownership of supplier Master Purchase Agreements 
  • Analyse procure-to-pay processes and activity, recommend focus areas and support continuous improvement initiatives allowing for achievement of budgeted targets and key metrics.
  • Develop data to drive best practice strategic procurement management
  • Analyse and recommend opportunities to reduce cost, decrease lead times, reduce capacity constraints.
  • Support stakeholders with automated reporting, procedures, and systems.
  • Lead procurement systems support as the subject matter expert.
  • Actively participates in various projects and working groups.
  • Regular audits of procurement activities to ensure compliance to organisational processes, policies and procedures, systems, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Researches and maintains knowledge of legislations, regulations and ESG best practice that impact global supply chains

Requirements for success

 

•    Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
•    Demonstrated core analytical skills with experience in developing, analysing and interpreting reports and resolving issues.
•    Well-developed data analytics skills, including the extraction, interpretation, evaluation and analysis of data, using products including Excel and Power BI.
•    Demonstrated understanding of the complexities, impact and opportunities of ESG initiatives in the Procurement function
•    Well-developed procurement skills and capabilities
•    Demonstrated understanding of contracts and contract law fundamentals.
•    Understanding of, and experience with, organisation-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and finance systems. 
•    SAP experience highly regarded.
•    Demonstrated experience with projects and managing change.
