The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Human Resources professional to join our global organisation. The position will be based at our manufacturing facility in Rutherford (Hunter Valley). In this truly generalist role, you will be responsible for providing a high level of human resources and ER/IR advice to a diverse internal client group. This will require you to work closely with line managers to develop a true HR business partnership that will ensure decisions made within the region take into consideration the needs of our workforce.
This position is responsible for:
- Providing support to the Recruitment Business Partner in the management of the recruitment and selection process within your nominated portfolio.
- Fostering and building an outcome focused business partner approach to HR with key site stakeholders and the workforce
- Provision of advice and support surrounding ER/IR including interaction with unions
- Effective resolution and management of performance and disciplinary matters
- Ongoing coaching and development of the region’s management team to ensure site performance and employee motivation and satisfaction
- Participation in the development and execution of HR policy and projects across the organisation.
You will have a genuine opportunity to contribute to continual improvement of the HR function and will be integral to the delivery of the department’s strategic vision.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience
- Qualifications in a business or related discipline with a focus on the Human Resource Management function.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships in a collaborative manner.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
- A keen eye for detail, coupled with your service delivery mindset and organised approach to your work, and the ability to adapt to a changing and constantly moving business
- A high level of motivation, strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
- Excellent interpersonal skills
