Job Overview
The Unit down/ EO Expeditor works in the Customer Support department and is responsible for directly supporting the Customer Support Reps, Planners, and external suppliers in efforts to fill high priority orders. Serves as resource to expedite the delivery of parts to support expected demand, replenishment requirements as well as unforeseen demands. Responsible for expediting both non-stock and stock back orders while reviewing inventory levels to ensure distributor requirements are met globally. Accountable for identifying supplier deficiencies and recommending actions for improvement to team management. This includes supplier LT inaccuracies and any other issues that may affect overall availability goals. Responsible for achieving supplier performance metrics and collaborating with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements including demand, kits, and firm future orders.
Key Job Responsibilities

Follow-up and aggressively expedite with vendors or suppliers for unit down and emergency backorders which require ship dates. This information is passed to Distributor Parts Support teams for notification to individual DB. Requires professional telephone skills and ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and co-workers. Multi-tasking skills to get work completed and answering phones, emails, and working expediting reports with minimal supervision. Optimum response time is within 24 hours of initial receipt of backorder.

Keep current follow-up information on paybacks for assembly and machine cannibalizations. Keep all personnel involved (dealer who performed cannibalization or production team) with most current information daily if delivery promises change. Up-to-date information is essential for Supply Chain to determine when a cannibalized machine may be ready for sale again. Order types include global distributor orders, inter-depot transfers, daily help-outs, further manufacturing, firm future orders, and consignments.

Advises Distributors via assigned Customer Support Rep, of the expected delivery time and explain in detail any delays, changes to delivery dates and availability for all open backorders. Keep good records of supplier responses, updates, complaints, or action plans.

Organize and schedule work with minimum of supervisory direction. Acceptance of changes in priorities and additional workload such as helping co-workers in the department with their daily expediting tasks to ensure that all desks are complete at the end of the business day. Assist in distributor requests for upgrades to unit down and communicating change in urgency to plant/vendors for timely resolution. resolution.

Ability to research problems and provide alternatives for distributors through alternate sources such as other DB inventory, kit availability, assemblies, PMATES comment screens. Analyze all information and evaluate results solve problems for all emergency and unit down backorders.

Develop extensive knowledge of internal systems.
Qualifications/Requirements

Seasoned general business or industry experience. High school diploma required. College degree a plus.

3-4 years of logistics experience, specifically experience associated with emergency orders and expediting parts for critical issues. Distributor Support or Materials Management a plus.

Personally accountable and welcomes responsibility.

Extreme sense of urgency, and flexibility. Able to multi-task a must.

Functional level skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form.

Pay: $45,440 - $56,800
