Overview.

 

Due to internal promotion, we have the immediate need for a customer service extraordinaire to join our Komatsu team.

 

Reporting to the National Distribution Manager, this integral role for our Minto warehouse and distribution centre (ADC) is seen as the customer service specialist, the centre support mechanism ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

 

You will serve as the sole point of contact for all inbound and outbound communications for our distribution centre. You will be responsible for prioritising, coordinating, and executing requests that arise.

You’re an administration and customer service extraordinaire that has the natural ability to build strong, positive relationships with internal and external customers.

 

You love a busy day that requires reprioritising and juggling multiple requests. You understand communication is key and that managing customer expectations whilst delivering on promises is key to success.

Key responsibilities.

 

  • Support daily ADC customer service and admin activities.
  • Prioritize and respond to urgent customer demands.
  • Liaise with ADC staff, team members, and transport providers.
  • Organise purchase requisitions and orders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners.
  • Manage the ADC email inbox for timely order processing.
  • Perform duties adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

 

Skills & qualifications.

 

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, sales, customer service, or operations.
  • Experience with integrated inventory computer systems desirable.
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computers and SAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Logical thinking, good analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
