Job Overview

The CAD Technician works within the Electrical Engineering team.  The main responsibility of this position is the development of machine aftermarket kits, including bills of materials, AutoCAD electrical schematics, and supporting technical documentation. The CAD Technician collaborates with the Electrical Engineering and Aftermarket teams, and process aftermarket orders. In addition, this individual develops SOLIDWORKS models of legacy DC motors and update legacy motor drawings.  

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains aftermarket retrofit kit documentation including BOM and electrical schematics
  • Evaluates machine inspection reports to determine aftermarket kit applicability
  • Processes aftermarket orders

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Technical Associate’s degree with a focus on electrical, electronics, or controls from an accredited college or university required
  • At least 2 years of experience working with AutoCAD Electrical and SOLIDWORKS
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful
