Overview

Komatsu, a global leader in the manufacturing, distribution and service of mining/construction equipment, is actively seeking Technical Service Representatives (TSRs) from Entry Level to Senior TSR to maintain and troubleshoot Komatsu (P&H) mining equipment, including electric shovels, at customers serviced by our Safford, AZ facility.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead issue resolution teams in the field to effectively research, document and review product Issues occurring on Komatsu (P&H) equipment.
  • Oversee machine troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams. Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service, and recommended upgrades. Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
  • Assume project management of major electrical field jobs. Assist electricians with installations, wiring and commissioning of equipment.
  • Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customer requirements. 
  • Senior Technical Service Representatives supervise other TSRs, lead training activities, provide mentorship and actively promote a collaborative learning culture between Komatsu Service Centers and Product Support.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in electrical theory and in the electrical field, understand how circuits work and how to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Proficient at using computers and have ability to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret gathered data
  • Able to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support
  • Possess effective communication skills
  • Have strong leadership skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment
