Job Overview
Komatsu is currently searching for a Sr. Cost Accountant to support operations at our Longview, Texas facility. Komatsu offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits and annual bonus/merit potential.
Key Job Responsibilities
Prepare monthly journal entries and account analysis, including payroll, intercompany, and A/P accruals, etc.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Preparation, investigation, and reporting of GRIR and A/P
Provide support to internal and external auditors along with performance of internal audit tasks
Assist with fixed asset management and reporting
Assist with budgets and forecast of balance sheet and income statement projections
Assist with the administration of property and use tax
Problem solving and continuous improvement activities
Prepare financial analysis and ad-hoc reports as needed
Additional Information
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA/CMA or master’s degree in related fields preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance department role.
Previous experience in a manufacturing organization preferred.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills) required, with prior SAP experience a plus.
Strong work ethic with a willingness to take on new challenges.
Effective communication skills with all levels – upper management to clerical throughout the world.
Ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization.
Strong desire to learn with the ability and aptitude to understand systems and processes.
