Job Overview

Komatsu Longview Operations, home of the world’s largest front-end loader, is seeking a skilled NDT Technician to join our team in Longview, Texas. 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  1. Conduct and document inspections using NDT equipment.
  2. Prepare and maintain reports (NCR's, NDT reports, calibration reports, etc.).
  3. Support continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate third-party inspections.
  4. Partner with Quality Engineers to develop and implement inspection test plans.
  5. Conduct final report audits, surveillance, and performance evaluations.
  6. Establish training agendas, conduct classroom training, and track certification renewals.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. High School diploma or GED, trade school preferred.
  2. 7+ years NDT experience with SNT-TC-1A Level II Certification in VT, MT, UT, and PAUT.
  3. ASNT Level III Certification in at least three methods (VT, MT, UT).
  4. AWS CAWI, CWI, or CWE certification.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP ERP system.
  6. Ability to read and interpret business periodicals and technical drawings.
  7. Skilled in using mechanical measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
  8. Knowledge of inspection processes (receiving, in-process, final, visual) and calibration.
  9. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  10. Experience developing NDT procedures and conducting personnel training.
  11. Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with internal departments and certification agencies.
