Job Overview

Komatsu is hiring for a Manufacturing Manager at our Longview, Texas location.  We offer an excellent benefit package, bonus potential, annual merit review, relocation, and development opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and oversight of the departmental budgets and capital plans.
  • Works injury free, strives for an injury-free work environment, supports company Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Meets the requirements of the internal and external customers as required to support the production schedule and plan.
  • Manages all resources in the responsible departments. This includes equipment, tooling and employee resources. Provide leadership and direction to performance leaders and subordinates and instill a High Performance Organization culture and effective accountability.
  • Work closely with Engineering on introducing new products and engineering changes to the market place. Example all generation 2 loader designs.
  • Develop and monitor metrics that measure performance objectives and initiate corrective and preventive actions. Examples are production, quality, training, 6S, Operational Excellence, and cost reductions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or engineering with 7 - 10 years work experience managing in a manufacturing setting. Master’s Degree preferred.  Consideration of combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Familiar with operations processes, accounting concepts, information systems. 
  • Must have effective analytical and communication skills and business acumen.
  • Must be capable of both tactical and strategic thinking and planning.
