Job Overview
The engineering project manager will drive the successful completion of engineering projects across development, production, and reliability work streams. You will be a key leader of the UGSR global New Product Development (NPD) process, hosting regular performance reviews and executive updates. You will interact with the Global Product Groups and the Engineering Design Teams to develop, manage, prioritize and regularly update engineering work schedules so that engineering output is maximized and in support of Underground Soft Rock business strategies.

This role reports to the Global Engineering and Technical Services Director.
Key Job Responsibilities
Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As the Engineering Project Manager for UGSR Engineering, you’ll be responsible to:
- Own the NPD process. You will host the monthly engineering and performance meetings as well as the quarterly executive review meetings.
- Work with Product Directors and Managers to define the priority of NPD projects in line with business direction.
- Work with the Managers of the mechanical and electrical design teams and other stakeholders to guarantee that resources are applied appropriately to balance development projects, production requirements, and other engineering projects.
- Partner with the various ECM gatekeepers to represent engineering priorities when setting engineering change and release dates.
- Monitor and provide oversight of overall engineering project progress. Proactively communicate with team members and stakeholders; detecting and mitigating risks before they impact deliverables.
- Interact with Sales, Product Management, and Operations to understand and react to scheduling changes.
- Develop and maintain documentation that defines and manages current (approved) priorities and engineering deliveries.
- Develop and maintain documentation that defines and prioritizes projects that are requested by the product groups but are not approved.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience – ideally in computer science, applied sciences, engineering or technology
- 2-4 years of experience managing projects with experience leading mid-sized and low to medium-level complexity technology projects
- Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative and creative solutions
- Ability to work cross functionally between multiple internal teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to filter and distill meaningful information to the right audience
- Effective communication and compelling leadership skills, able to respectfully influence and guide decisions through data, collaboration, and leadership
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Desired Skills
- Adept at software tools that could be leveraged for supporting and managing complex and functionally integrated work schedules
- Experience with program management, managing a portfolio of projects to achieve desired business outcomes
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification
