Key Job Responsibilities
The Underground Field Service Supervisor oversees a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient execution of field service operations. This role involves preparing job quotes, coordinating rebuilds, and collaborating closely with account managers and customers to deliver exceptional service. The supervisor ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Their leadership is key to maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving operational excellence. Major responsibilities include:
- Team Supervision and Leadership
- Directly supervise and manage field service technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high-performing team.
- Assign and oversee work tasks to ensure timely and efficient completion of service jobs and rebuilds.
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and training sessions to ensure all team members are informed and compliant.
- Job Quoting and Execution
- Prepare accurate and detailed job quotes for service work and rebuilds, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and budget constraints.
- Oversee job execution, ensuring work quality, adherence to timelines, and resolution of any on-site challenges.
- Customer and Account Management
- Collaborate with account managers and customers to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Operational Efficiency
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles to minimize downtime and costs.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
