Job Overview

Reports to: Manager, National Supply Chain
Shift: 5 x 2; Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day
Safety Sensitive: No- RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation
Travel:
up to 10% across Canada and the US
Term: 18 Months

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Canadian inventory to ensure that customer requirements are met while optimizing inventory levels and increasing turns
  • Procure material and services from third party vendors to support Service Center ensuring lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Administer pricing, quoting and customs requirements
  • Set, monitor and adjust inventory levels in service centers
  • Run and distribute inventory reports as required
  • Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any related barriers
  • Monitor outstanding quotes and follow up
  • Develop and evaluate qualified suppliers and resolve performance issues
  • Prepare and analyze RFQs
  • Explore, investigate and recommend cost improvement ideas
  • Work with Accounts Payable to correct blocked invoices
  • Review import documentation, broker and freight bills for accuracy
  • Create Part Numbers, Info Records, Material Masters, and Source Lists in SAP
  • Process Credits

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following: operations, accounting, administration, supply chain, logistics, customs or inventory management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or finance considered an asset
  • Certification in logistics, customs, or pricing would be an asset
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel required
  • Attentive to details
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven
  • Customer focused
