Job Overview

Duties: Prevent, detect, and respond to legal compliance issues and company policies. Prepare compliance training, communications, and strategies. Monitor effectiveness of compliance programs and internal controls. Policy and procedures management, administration of training and compliance hotline system, auditing & monitoring compliance programs, and enforcement of corrective action plans. Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations, investigations and progress of compliance efforts. Assist auditors in compliance and internal control reviews. Monitor corporate governance requirements and work closely with parent company in Japan to ensure company’s compliance with requirements by Japanese government. Identify areas of compliance and internal control risks; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide legal guidance.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in law, business or finance. 2 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, maintenance of regulatory approvals, monitoring legal changes, monitoring and assessing legal risks and advising executives. Understanding of business laws in Japan and corporate governance regulations.
