Job Overview

 

Komatsu is embarking on an enterprise-wide initiative to transform our digital experience. This role will re-build the Komatsu websites and digital applications supporting online sales of parts, training courses and technology subscriptions.

Primary responsibilities include developing new website functionality, integrations between applications and organizing the development performed by third-party consultants. Developing a foundational knowledge of business objectives will be key to improving the customer experience across apps and increasing online sales.     

 

As a PIM Specialist, this role will be responsible for a range of activities for the Digital Office team.  This team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the digital Komatsu experience for all North American business and select regional mining businesses. The team has a global focus that continues to grow. This entry-level role will interface between Digital Marketing, Product Management and various other internal teams around the world.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Komatsu machine model data in PIM system, including data entry, data structure, troubleshooting, updates, and quality control

  • Maintain processes for product data management, ensuring data integrity and consistency

  • Analysis, interpretation and importation of data for PIM for net new companies acquired by Komatsu

  • Merchandizing analysis utilizing sales data to build Komatsu parts catalog within PIM system, which will supply Komatsu.com content

  • Maintain merchandizing schedule in coordination with various product management teams and business timelines

  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals to ensure machine data in PIM is optimized for organic search

  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

  • Working in Informatica PIM system to ensure data is aligned with equipment specifications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams so PIM tool supports Komatsu.com functionality, product structure and business goals

  • Identify regional website equipment details and support import into P360

  • Support the setup of regional, multi-lingual product catalogs in Informatica PIM P360

  • Ensure SEO best practices are being met and considered during the build and maintenance processes

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Management or Marketing, or similar, from an accredited college or university

  • Previous experience in PIM system(s)

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards shared goals

  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort in working with foreign languages as Komatsu is a global organization

  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed

  • Work effectively with people around the world, including meetings potentially at odd hours to accommodate all time zones.

  • Office environment in a hybrid work setting. 
  • Percentage of Travel: 10% or less.
