Job Overview
Reports to: Senior Manager, Human Resources Canada
Shift: 5x2 Monday - Friday, Hybrid
Location: Calgary, AB
Travel Requirement: Up to 25%

Key Job Responsibilities
- Actively coach, counsel, and support business function leaders to advise and influence human capital strategies and identify gaps and opportunities that impact business results
- Provide HR partnership to leaders regarding business planning, performance management, communications, learning and development, workforce design and implementation and change management
- Develop short and long-term talent strategies in alignment with the vision and objectives of the business
- Ensure compliance with all laws governing employment practices and policies, salary, and wage administration
- Support culture and talent outcomes by developing and implementing strategies that increase employee engagement, attraction, and retention of talent
- Work across multiple operations and actively engage functional expertise of COE’s for strategy development and program deployment
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources
- Progressive HR experience with a minimum of 7-10 years working as an HR Business Partner and coach assigned to one or more business units or groups
- Certified or be working towards the professional designation of Chartered Canadian Professional of Human Resources (CPHR)
- Energy, mining, construction, engineering or other trades industry HR experience
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and risk management assessment
- Strong relationship management and consulting skills to cultivate positive and effective relationships with regional teams and key stakeholders
- Outstanding people skills and demonstrated success in resolving complex HR issues, a working knowledge of employment standards
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to establish trust, sell ideas, and influence others
- An organized problem solver and someone who is adaptable to change, with the ability to think and act strategically
- Able to focus on top priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment
- Strong computer skills (HRIS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
