Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an eBusiness Solutions Test Engineer to join our global IT team. This is a hybrid role (minimum of 2 days per week are working onsite in our office for collaboration, project meetings, team working sessions, etc. and up to 3 days per week can be telecommuting). This role can be based at our office in Milwaukee, WI or in Chicago, IL (near O’Hare). 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate overall system test plans for all testing efforts based on requirements/user stories
  • Create test cases/test plans; delegate work to team members based on skill set and necessary tasks
  • Code and modify highly complex automated software testing programs for front-end and back-end testing to thoroughly test software and ensure proper operation and freedom from defects prior to implementation.
  • Develop, run and maintain automated regression test scripts to drive overall improvement in quality of code
  • Investigate support tickets to identify defects and update test plans as needed to capture before future releases
  • Implement improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future test configurations.
  • Establish quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality.
  • Establish, with assistance, advanced software test standards and methods and conduct complex software tests.
  • Participate in review and evaluation of software quality assurance products and services for applicability to in-house needs.
  • Collaborate in the development and Enterprise Architecture areas to champion the use of best practices on system design
  • Convert complex business requirements into technical specifications for testing to be used by others


  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years of experience in IT application testing 
  • Accreditation in testing preferred (CSTE or ISTQB)
  • Able to manage multiple initiatives to launch, improve and upgrade our eBusiness applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support strong adoption across our user base.
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents and concepts
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving experience 
  • Ability to work with end users, especially outside the company
  • Experience as a project team member for deployments, upgrades, etc. (from design to post go-live support)
  • Ability to train end users
  • Ability to understand business process, identify critical processes and convert process knowledge to meaningful / executable test scripts
  • Through and demonstrated understanding of test concepts, processes, procedures, and how to leverage them to meet business objectives
  • Ability to design, build, deploy, run and maintain automated scripts
  • Capability to lead a team to deliver results
