Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a talent development coordinator to join our talent development team in Milwaukee, WI. In this role you will support functions that drive success in the logistics, measurement and reporting of formal learning activities and outcomes for our global talent development team. These functions and processes include but are not limited to supporting the effective deployment of learning programs and events and other Talent Development initiatives and programs. 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Works with vendor partners/learning content providers to schedule courses; monitor enrollment to decide on holding the class or cancelling without penalty.
  • Reserves training rooms in advance of training sessions and partner with the Facilities team to ensure that training rooms are set up as per course instructor preferences, and then set back to the original configuration upon course completion
  • Procures in-person and virtual course materials, store and distribute to students as needed
  • Manages related course prework and answer participant questions
  • Serves as point-of-contact for class-related questions and manage related formal communication before, during and after the class; arrange badges for visiting class participants and provide a orientation to safety and navigation at South Harbor. 
  • Ensures that catering, beverages and snacks are ordered for in-person courses, and honor specified dietary needs
  • Pays all invoices and work with Finance team to  charge back to the businesses  in a timely manner
  • Maintains the training rooms at the South Harbor facility – checks that all equipment is in working order and the room is supplied for learning events (flip charts, markers, etc.)
  • Provides support and assistance to HRBPs or other learning personnel at other Komatsu locations to for the organization and delivery of learning events
  • Creates course evaluation summary reports and present to key stakeholders following the completion of a learning event
  • Partners with the HRIS team to manage content in the Learning Management System
  • Maintains the Talent Development training catalogue throughout the year to reflect the latest offerings
  • Sends communications as appropriate to market courses
  • Manages the Talent Development inbox; resolve or hand off issues and questions to other team members
  • Supports other administrative needs of the Talent Development team as needed 


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field  - or - equivalent work experience
  • Strong human resources or L&D internship experience or 1+ year(s) of experience in a related role 
  • A track record of prioritizing tasks and, managing and completing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives 
  • Strong work standards and attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Teams  
  • Working in a learning management system is a plus
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills appropriate for routine communication regarding talent development classes and processes
