Job Overview

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with RFI/RFP (request for information/ request for proposal)
    • RFI – assist with collecting request for information from incumbent suppliers and then normalizing the supplier responses in order to prepare RFP document
      • May need to work with AP team to verify last price paid from invoices
      • Use information from RFI/AP invoice to validate potential savings opportunity from sourcing event
    • RFP– (1) work with sourcing/category managers to create RFP/RFQ documentation; (2) participate/shadow SSM/CM with review of RFPs; (3) assist with collection/summarization of Stakeholder team evaluation matrixes
  • Vendor data harmonization
    • KAC data – verify common suppliers in KAC/KMC have same industry codes, payment terms and payment modes
    • KMC data – work with stakeholders, CM and SSM to harmonize vendor terms (payment terms/mode) and reduce redundant suppliers numbers, if possible.
    • Working with CM/ SSM to track savings as result of improved working capital  (spend impacted by improved payment terms).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Must be enrolled at an accredited college/university.  
  • Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Must have good written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and strong motivation to drive results.
  • PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel, Power Point, etc
